The Montana State Championships were held in Butte, MT on June 12, 2010. There were over 110 participants that competed in forms and sparring. Big Sky Taekwondo brought 13 athletes ranging in age from 6 to 48 years old. Master Scott Miranti was awarded his seventh degree black belt at the opening ceremony. He has been practicing Taekwondo for nearly 40 years now! We were all very proud to be there to see him receive this well deserved award. Congratulations Grand Master Miranti! Here are some pictures taken from the 2009 Judo/TKD Tournament in Billings! Classes include a wide variety of stretching and flexibility exercises, cardiovascular aerobic, and anaerobic conditioning. In addition, all that kicking, striking, and blocking techniques help you achieve a physically fit mond and body. Each working is varied and fun, consisting of paddle and air-shield kicking drills, partner drills, heavy bag work, sparring, and so much more! New to Tae Kwon Do? No problem! Our classes are designed to fit all fitness levels, whether you're a new beginner or highly advanced. You take it at your own pace! At Big Sky Tae Kwon Do you'll learn highly effective self-defense moves and techniques, so if the worst comes to pass, you'll know what to protect yourself and get away safely! In the Tiny Tots Taekwondo Program, your 3-5 year old will learn ... behavioral, socialization, communication and listening skills along with the importance of having good manners, discipline and self-control.
All of this while learning an exciting Olympic sport!
